Shadow Totem is a site-specific installation of wooden forms planted in the earth and painted white on site. At precisely 6PM in autumn, their shadows align into the visual totem for the character 地 (dì): ground, earth, terroir. Before and after, the shadows are fragments. The shadow totem exists once a day during this specific time in the Charente, then disperses.

La Danse de Boisbuchet is a movement score created to complete the installation and tell the story of the Boisbuchet creative community. Four performers in white, bound by red strings, carried the piece through the land. After the performace, a 20-person workshop was ran where non-dancers learned the same score and performed it together.
