Like ​the ocean and its waves and currents, life is unpredictable and constantly morphing and moving. Sometimes visible to the eye, but more often than not well hidden beneath the surface.

 

The series Shifting Waters is both a nod to the artist's strong bond and complex emotions towards the ocean, and also a parallel expression of her long search in finding a figurative resting spot across three continents of her loved ones.

"Before Paris, I have always lived close to the ocean, it's an essential part of me. I wanted to reveal the ocean in a new visual way than classic blue waves. I wanted to transform the intense awe, love, fear, respect, protectiveness I have for the ocean into something tangible, layered and beautiful."
